Providing Care

Pray for people in your group and their needs each time the group meets.

Provide meals when tough situations happen in the lives of group members. (Death in family, sickness, new baby, etc). It doesn’t mean you prepare all the meals, but make sure the group members take an active role in providing meals and care.

Let the church know when death or hospitalization affects a group member or their family.

  • Caring Bridge - http://www.caringbridge.org/ - A CaringBridge website helps keep loved ones informed during difficult times. In return, family and friends give patient and caregiver support through guestbook messages.
  • Cleaning for a Reason is an organization that will come and clean a woman’s house for free once a month if she is dealing with cancer.-  http://www.cleaningforareason.org/

Make referrals to the church for counseling and benevolence.
